Mark A. Newman sold a 40-acre parcel on April 30,2013 at the Branding Iron in Thompson to a great crowd. This farm was located in North Central Iowa, near Rake.
The farmland was purchased for $11,700/acre. The high bidder was a neighboring farmer who narrowly edged out a land investor.
